What Are State Boards?
Each Indian state has its own Board of Secondary (and sometimes Higher Secondary) Education, responsible for regulating school education, setting the curriculum, and conducting board exams. Most states conduct Class 10 (Secondary/S.S.C/Matric/SSLC) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary/HSC/PUC/Intermediate) exams, providing regionally relevant learning and a pathway to college and competitive exams.

General Pattern (varies by board):
- Class 10: Subjects include local language, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and electives (IT, Sanskrit, etc.).
- Class 12: Streams in Science, Commerce, and Humanities with specialized subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Accountancy, Economics, Political Science, etc.).
